Admission Policy
Introducing our school's admissions policy.
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Admissions Policy
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology is located in Musashino, Tokyo, and its history began in 1874 when Ministry of Home Affairs Agricultural Training School and Sericulture Experiment Section were established as the foundation for Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Engineering, respectively, and it was established as a university in 1949. Since its founding, the university has developed into a unique science and technology university unlike any other in the country, focusing on the two academic fields of agriculture and engineering that support agriculture and industry, the backbone of human society, while also embracing a wide range of related fields.
Our basic philosophy is to face head-on the challenges of "realizing a sustainable society" that have been brought to light by 20th century society and science and technology, and to contribute to world peace and the advancement of science and technology in harmony with society and the natural environment through education and research based on free thinking in agriculture, engineering, and their interdisciplinary fields, while also striving to foster the talent and create knowledge that will lead to problem-solving and its realization. We advocate this basic philosophy as "MORE SENSE: Mission Oriented Research and Education giving Synergy in Endeavors toward a Sustainable Earth" clearly defining our existence and role, and working sincerely to solve the problems facing humanity in the 21st century.
