Initiatives to prevent fraudulent use of public research funds

Based on the "Guidelines for Management and Auditing of Public Research Funds at Research Institutions (Implementation Standards) (revised on February 1, 2021)," the National University Corporation Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology is taking the following measures to establish a system to properly manage and administer public research funds at the University and to prevent improper use.

Basic Policy etc.

Management responsibility system

Our university has established the following management responsibility structure, with President as the ultimate authority.

①Chief Administrator (President)
It oversees the entire university and bears ultimate responsibility for the operation and management of the university's competitive funds, etc.

②General Manager (Director (in charge of planning and internal control))
The Office of President of the University assists the Chief Administrator and has substantial responsibility and authority for overseeing the operation and management of competitive funds, etc. for the entire university.

3) Compliance Promotion Officer (head of department, etc.)
They have the actual responsibility and authority to oversee the operation and management of competitive funds etc. within their departments etc.

This manual provides a concise explanation of the guidelines decided by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and various requirements of our university.
