TUAT Encouragement Grant for Research Internship at Overseas Institution
This program is supported by the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Foundation.
This program offers financial support for students to undertake research at overseas institutions. It aims to foster future global talent by providing opportunities to develop their potential before or early in graduate school. Eligible applicants are undergraduate fourth-year students (excluding those in the Cooperative Department of Veterinary Medicine) who intend to enter graduate school, fifth- and sixth-year students in the Cooperative Department of Veterinary Medicine, and master’s students, including those in professional degree programs and first- and second-year students in the five-year integrated doctoral program.?
Expected outcomes for participating students through this program
As a young researcher, cultivate the following qualities to develop your future potential:
- the beginnings of international networking and collaborative research
- globally oriented career development
- the pursuit of new value by reassessing the significance of your research in a global context.
Number of grant recipients
Approximately 10 people will be selected each year to receive grant funding (the number may vary slightly depending on the budget).
Financial support
The following expenses for studying abroad at an overseas institution for 2~6 months (1) and (2)
(1) Travel expense subsidy: 200,000 yen*
(2) Scholarship: monthly amount 100,000 yen or 150,000 yen* depending on the destination region
